The COVID-19 pandemic has left film and television decision makers seeking new solutions. Whether it’s a safer way to apply makeup or populating a shot with more people, visual effects offer a myriad of possibilities for productions to safely carry on. Crowd replication, in particular, has been one of the most requested services from our valued clients. Here at CoSA VFX, we responded by creating an enhanced system for Crowd Services to account for these needs.
With current COVID safety guidelines restricting the number of background players allowed on set, our crowd services offer unmatched flexibility and value to productions looking to populate scenes while adhering to industry safety measures. Our teams can easily create a crowd of hundreds and even thousands of “extras” with life-like behaviors and interactions that can be determined by artists and clients to bring complex scenes to life.
Furthermore, the enhanced technology ‘under the hood’ allows our artists to customize the behaviors of these digital crowds with ease, focusing on the artistry instead of the technical challenges.
Our enhanced Crowd Services build on CoSA VFX’s legacy of innovative work across a number of hit shows and movies, and adds a certain level of flexibility to filmmakers to tell their stories.
